batteries:
All of our power chairs and scooters sold in our showroom are installed with new batteries. These batteries come with a 13 month warranty. The charger supplied with your scooter or power chair should fully charge your batteries overnight. Today, over
charging is not a problem. The automatic shut off switch will not allow for a battery to be over-charged.
We also sell new batteries and carry a good supply of in-stock batteries ready for you to purchase when needed. Power chairs and scooter batteries typically take approximately 8 hours to fully charge. For best results, most people who own a scooter or power chair, plug in your batteries each night before bed and unplug in the morning as you wake.
Batteries that are fully charged can be expected to hold that charge for several hours ranging approximately 10-15 miles. There are other circumstances that will impact your battery charge, such as: terrain/grade of ground, weather and the weight of the person using the device.

Storage and Maintenance
- Always store your batteries fully charged
- Check all stored batteries once a month and recharge as needed
- Fully charged batteries can hold a charge for up to 6 months, however they should always be charged before use.
- When storing a PWC or scooter for more than 2 weeks, charge the batteries first and then disconnect them for storage.
- Avoid hot and cold extremes when storing your batteries.
- Sealed VRLA Gel and AGM batteries require no watering. Any performance related issues should be handled by a properly trained wheelchair or scooter technician.
