Standard Walkers:
Lightweight, foldable, adjustable height and cushioned grips usually accommodate wheels or sliders. Release paddles on each side of the handles allows for the customer to easily fold the sides of the walker. Wheeled Walkers:
Front wheels rotate, while the back wheels are fixed. The rotation of the front wheels allows for simple mobility within your home. Wheeled walkers typically have two hand breaks, similar to a bicycle. Pulling up on these hand breaks will help stop the rear wheels from moving. When sitting, the hand breaks can be pushed downward to put them into the break position. Hemi- Walkers:
Offer more stability then a cane and can be helpful in tight spaces. (i.e. around toilet) Hemi Rollator Walkers: The defining feature is the low seat to floor height. Hemi walkers are available in regular and bariatric walkers. Bariatric walkers will accommodate up to 600lbs with extra wide seats. |
